For you history buffs, here is what IHOPPPP was up to in the past...
1997

Oct. 22 - Exhorter Gift

Oct. 29 - Dessert Potluck and Games Night at the Cunninghams 6:00-8:30 bring children and/or games to play.

Nov 5 - Ephesians 5:19 Night (explained below)

Nov 8 - Saturday - Rich Nathan conference - Gary says we ALL MUST GO!

Nov 12 - Giver Gift / RSVP's for Thanksgiving are due (see Nov. 27th)

Nov 19 - Administrator Gift

Nov 23 5:30-7:30 p.m. NOTE DATE & TIME CHANGE! - Sunday night Phun - ice skating at Winter Lodge in Palo Alto (Those who can't or won't skate are still encouraged to come and laugh at those attempting to skate...and to sit by the phire and drink cocoa, etc.) Offspring and other extended family are welcome. Admission to Winter Lodge is $5.00/person, and skate rental is $2.00.

Nov 26 - No meeting

Nov 27 - ihopppp celebrates Thanksgiving together (RSVP to Wichmans by Nov. 12)

Dec. 10 - Compassion and Gifts Study wrap-up (Note: this was moved from Dec. 3)

Dec. 17 - Ihopppers go carrolling. Children and guests are encouraged to join us! Also exchange Christmas ornaments. Bring a small, wrapped Christmas Tree ornament with you! And bring a desserty thing to share.

Dec. 24 - No meeting (Christmas Eve).

Dec. 31 - NEW YEARS EVE AT IHOPPPP. Games for the grown-ups and a video for the kids. (Kids can come in pajamas) Bring a snacky to munch and a favorite board game to play. We start at 7:30 as usual, but you can stay to ring in the new year! For the seriously brave and/or demented, we will have a Midnight New Years Swim in the FRIGID, UNHEATED POOL. This last part is voluntary.

1998

Jan. 14 - The Holy Spirit and You. What do you believe about the Gifts of the Spirit? What have you witnessed? What have you experienced? What gifts would you like to receive or grow in?

Jan. 21 - Vineyard Prayer Model -- POSTPONED. Our special guest Diane Wood will give us a refresher course & clinic in how to do prayer ministry sometime soon. But Diane could not make it, so instead we will continue our discussion of last week.

Jan. 28 - Our second Ephesians 5:19 night. Bring a song, a psalm, a poem, a verse, a picture or a praise -- something to offer the Lord in worship!

Jan. 31 - We will be participating in the 24 hours of prayer at the Vineyard office. We will be doing 2 shifts, 10-11 a.m. and 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Saturday. Those who are praying one shift will be helping watch the kids during the other. Afterwards, we will all go out to lunch together.

Feb. 4 - We ended up having an impromptu games night!

Feb. 11 - The State of the Peninsula Vineyard

Mark talked Sunday about the state of our local church. We will be discussing the three questions from the bulletin:
  1. What are the qualities you most appreciate about your church?
  2. What are the factors you would most want to see improved this year?
  3. What role do you want to play in the ministry of our church? What steps do you need to take now in that ministry or to get involved in that ministry? When will you start?

Feb. 18 - Vinyard Prayer Model. Nina teaches on how to do prayer ministry.

Feb. 25 - Intercession night - we'll pray for the world as God leads us.

Mar. 4 - Potluck dinner at the home of Stefan & Antonella. Starts at 6:30. Children welcome. Notice this date has moved!

Mar. 11 - Pastor Gary Stokes will be our guest. The topic will be Word of Knowledge.

Mar. 18 - We will continue discussing Prophecy, Tongues, and Prayer Ministry.

Mar. 25 - Our 3rd Ephesians 5:19 night. Bring a psalm, or a song, or a verse, or something else offered in Worship to God

Apr. 1 - No meeting (no fooling). The Wichmans will be in Minnesota. Please feel free to get together amongst yourselves and talk about us while we're gone!

Apr. 8 - Marius & Liz lead a wonderful Easter event. Thanks, Maz n Liz!

Apr. 15 - Taxes due, but please get them done early and join us! We will kick off a season of personal testimonies. Featured tonight: fearless leader Glenn Wichman.

Apr. 22 - Lorraine will be giving her testimony

Apr. 29 - 6:30 p.m. potluck at the Strnad's (see the map) Bring the whole family!
